Watches can be complicated; they require a special ability to navigate through their layers as each pinion and spring is adjusted. Not unlike a river, each watch is different. Jost Schlatter is a skilled watchmaker who joined ochs und junior in January 2020.
Prior to this he worked at Glycine, followed by an internship with Audemars Piguet. He completed his watchmaking apprenticeship at the ZeitZentrum watchmaking school in Grenchen, Switzerland. To complement this, he made a supplementary training as a watch technician at the CIFOM in Le Locle, where he specialized in watch complications and restorations. Jost ensures that every ochs und junior customer is not only satisfied but thrilled with their ochs und junior watch. He analyzes and assembles them one by one in our atelier in La Chaux-de-Fonds, patiently bringing your wishes and ideas to life! When he is not navigating the twists and turns of Ludwig Oechslin’s creations at his ochs und junior watchmakers’ desk, you will find him on the water, navigating the twists and turns of the world’s mountain streams.
