With the settimanas in PVD, we will launch our first two new watches of 2026. They stand for twenty years of continuous work on one of the earliest ideas of ochs und junior, as well as for our commitment to steadily and precisely developing what already exists. Since our beginnings, we have been searching for processes that make technical sense, are aesthetically appropriate for our time, and correspond to the character of our watches. With the introduction of the PVD coating process by Positive Coating in La Chaux-de-Fonds—first used at ochs und junior for our serial date watch mese 2.22 and now also for the settimana line—we have achieved a further development that gives the model a clear definition and a new aesthetic expression.

The PVD surface is not created by applying a layer, but by physical vapor deposition: layer by layer, precisely controlled. The result is an even, durable coating with a calm depth that gives the dial its characteristic presence, reduced to the essentials. Subtle and clear, this new surface allows for a more modern, finely tuned choice of colors, leaving room for light, material, and time.

Like every settimana model, these two new models display hours, minutes, seconds, and the day of the week. The functions are logically integrated and reduced to what is necessary—entirely in line with the original design by Ludwig Oechslin from 2008, one of the first two watches Oechslin designed for ochs und junior.
In 2026, we offer you the ouj day-of-the-week watch with a minimalist design in two color variants and a 36 mm case: a simple black version with pink hands and weekday dot, and a brown version with gold-colored indices, hands, and weekday dot.
A familiar model, newly rethought for an important year for us—made possible by you, our loyal customers.
