50% upfront payments

If your watch is not in stock, you can make a 50% upfront payment, and pay the balance shortly before your watch is ready for delivery. Please contact us for this payment option.

Warranty and service

ochs und junior offers a lifetime warranty on all parts designed by Ludwig Oechslin and a 2-year warranty on the entire watch. If your watch requires service, please contact us directly using the contact information above. For issues covered under warranty, we will provide you with our FedEx number or organize shipping so you can return your watch to us free of charge. Most repairs are handled in about 10 days. Watches which are in stock will arrive in 1-2 days via FedEx Overnight Priority Shipping. To find out the delivery time for a watch not in stock, please contact us directly.

This allows us to offer you fast service at the highest level of competence. It also allows us to provide you with the widest opportunity for customization. We invest none of our resources in retail distribution, brand ambassadors, event sponsorships, or advertising, so you are paying for your watch and not an additional “environment”.

Small changes

ochs und junior’s in-house watchmakers can make small changes very quickly, including changing hand colors, swapping a second hand for a second disk, or switching the case material (silver or titanium). Please contact us for details.

What happens after I purchase my ochs und junior on your website?

Within 24 hours, you will receive a personal email from us. In direct communication, we will discuss your delivery date, strap and special requests with you.

How do your watches feel on the wrist?

Ludwig Oechslin designs ochs und junior watches to be functional. The watches are extremely comfortable due to their short, integrated lugs and flat case back. Both the 42mm and 39mm watches fit perfectly on almost any wrist. We offer different strap sizes and are happy to exchange your strap, after a short trial period, for a custom-made leather strap free of charge.

Can I try your watches on before making a decision?

About 2/3 of our clients do not try on an ochs und junior before making their purchase. They order their watch based on the information on our website or based on facts reported by independent publications. We know that this is a peculiar experience. The purchase decision is made without a final test on the wrist. Why do we do it this way? If we sold our watches through a retail network, we would not be able to offer this level of innovation and customization at the same price. There is no retail margin on our watches (in the watch industry this is typically between 35% and 50% of the sales price) and we do not advertise to persuade our clients to visit a retailer. We decided that we would rather sell fewer watches and offer each client who buys our watches service at the highest level of competence. We continually develop the content on our website in order to provide you with the information you need for your decision, whether you are in New York, Sydney, London, or Berlin. We want to provide facts, not to manipulate. If you order one of our watches, you should do so because you have been honestly convinced that you want one. And if you would like to test our watches on your wrist, we think you’ll find La Chaux-de-Fonds well worth the journey.

Do you offer discounts?

No. We are a manufacturer, not a retailer. All of our clients pay the same price. We strive to be accommodating, but we do not offer discounts.

Can my watch be engraved?

Yes, simple text engraving on your caseback in any font is no additional charge. For more complex engravings, such as logos, symbols, or other ideas, please contact us – and we’ll send you a quote.

Can I make changes to my watch in the future?

Yes! Due to Oechslin’s modular design, we can make changes to your watch at any time. You can change details free of charge for the first 30 days after you receive your watch. We even cover the cost of shipping the watch via FedEx both ways for these cases. Or perhaps you would like to make changes to your watch a few years after your purchase, for example because you’ve discovered something new on our website or because you’ve come up with a new idea.
