Setting your watch

New owners: we always set your annual calendar to the correct time and date for your time zone before shipping it to you. Since we use FedEx, and your watch has a 38 hour power reserve, there is a chance it will still be running when you open the box. In this case there is nothing to do, except wear your new watch to wind its automatic movement! If your watch has stopped, you will just need to follow the shorter, first set of instructions. Please contact us if you have any questions.

If your annual calendar has stopped for a few days

Step 1

Turn the crown counterclockwise to unlock it. A spring will push the crown out to position 0 when it has unlocked. Turn the crown clockwise approximately 30 times. Your watch has now reached its maximum power reserve of 38 hours. If you wear your watch regularly throughout the day, you will not need to wind it again. The automatic winder will do that for you.

Step 2

Pull the crown out to position 2 and turn the hands clockwise until the correct date is displayed. Next, using the weekday indication (one dot indicates daytime, approx. 6:00 – 18:00 o’clock, two dots indicates night time, approx. 18:00 o’clock – 6:00 o’clock), make sure that your watch is set to the correct time within the 24 hour cycle. Re-lock the crown by twisting it clockwise while gently pushing it in. Please be careful about applying too much force, as this might damage the thread.

If your annual calendar has stopped for a longer time

Step 2

Pull the crown out twice (position 2) and turn the hands forwards (clockwise) past midnight to adjust your weekday dot. Important: do not adjust your weekday dot by turning the hands backwards (counterclockwise) past midnight. The weekday dot (in the small ring with 7 holes) moves counterclockwise. You can choose which day you would like to be in the top hole. One visible dot indicates daytime (approx. 6:00 – 18:00 o’clock), two visible dots indicates night time (approx. 18:00 – 6:00 o’clock).

Step 3

Set the time to between 6 AM and noon. Only during this time window can the date and month indications be safely set in step 4. We recommend setting your watch to 7:50 in the morning (one visible weekday dot). At this time, the date and month dots are both visible, which facilitates setting them in step 4.

Step 4

Push the crown in to put it in position 0. Then pull it back out to position 1. Turn the crown clockwise to set the month and date (when the date dot moves past the end of the month, the month dot advances). The date dot (outer ring) moves clockwise, the month dot (small ring), which is powered by the date function, moves counterclockwise.

Step 5

Pull the crown back out to position 2, and set the correct time. Use the weekday indication (one dot indicates daytime, approx. 6:00 – 18:00 o’clock, two dots indicates night time, approx. 18:00 o’clock – 6:00 o’clock) to make sure that the watch is set to the correct time within the 24 hour cycle. Re-lock the crown by twisting it clockwise while gently pushing it in. Please do not apply too much force, as this might damage the thread.

Setting the date on March 1st

Your annual calendar knows the number of days in every month except February. Once per year, on March 1st, the date therefore needs to be adjusted manually.

Step 1

Turn the crown anti-clockwise to unlock it. A spring will push the crown out to position 0 after it unlocks.

Step 2

Before continuing, make sure that the time is between 6:00 o’clock in the morning and 12:00 o’clock noon (one visible weekday dot). If this is not the case, pull the crown out to position 2 and set the time to between 6:00 o’clock in the morning and 12:00 o’clock noon. After making sure that the time is within this window, put the crown into position 1, and turn it clockwise until the date shows March 1st. (The month will change automatically from February to March). If you need to reset the correct time, pull the crown back into position 2, and set the correct time.

Step 3

Re-lock the crown by twisting it clockwise while gently pushing it in. Please be careful about applying too much force, as this might damage the thread.
