Sometimes a good idea, consistently implemented, is enough:
The ochs und junior settimana Fifth Wrist Special Edition is now available directly from our shop for members of Fifth Wrist.
It emerged from a shared attitude. Things do not have to become louder, more complicated or shinier to be interesting. They have to connect us.
The settimana Fifth Wrist Special Edition did not begin as a product idea. It began with a conversation. Fifth Wrist had invited Kornelia Imesch and James Henderson to a podcast. It was about ochs und junior and Ludwig Oechslin’s way of thinking about watchmaking. After the recording, the idea emerged: Fifth Wrist should design its own ochs und junior. Not as a collector’s item for the safe. But as a watch that makes a shared attitude visible.

As an internationally connected watch community, Fifth Wrist stands for independent voices, honest reviews and a passion for watches without sponsorship. ochs und junior stands for radically simple mechanical solutions and technical as well as aesthetic clarity. The joint choice for the basis therefore fell on the most accessible watch in the ochs und junior portfolio, which perfectly embodies these points: the settimana raw.
A double index at 12 o’clock, the weekday dot in orange, the hands in black and oj blue, matching indices in oj blue, as well as extended minute and second hands make the settimana Fifth Wrist Special Edition a unique, subtly individualized watch with a clear objective: The connoisseur recognizes it!
The case: Grade 5 titanium, visible machining marks, no polished surface, no mask. Inside, an ETA 2824-2 movement operates with Oechslin’s weekday module made of only four additional parts.
The Fifth Wrist logo with the characteristic Fifth Wrist chicken and the respective watch owner’s Instagram handle are engraved on the case back. In this way, each watch receives a personal signature and becomes unmistakable.
It is meant to be worn.
It is meant to be understood.
And it is meant to connect.
Anyone who would like to get one must become part of the Fifth Wrist community. Not through membership in an association with membership fees, but through contact with Fifth Wrist and through the willingness to write a short review on the subject of watches for an appreciative and like-minded international community.
