Securing a place in the ochs und junior story: the bespoke leather pouch by Margareta Theiler

Ten years ago, on April 14th, 2014, Ludwig Oechslin published a richly illustrated, concisely written text on the concept, technique, and production of the ochs und junior Ecopell leather pouches on the blog. These were designed by Margareta Theiler at his request (see also the blogs from November 8, 2008, and June 21, 2009)
and were manufactured by her for us for several years. Today they are made by Sabina Brägger, who crafts our watch straps as well.

In 2014, the ochs und junior leather pouches had already been in use for several years. They were presented at our so-called Wagenmoos event (see the blog from October 21, 2008),
where our first two watches, the anno50 and the settimana junior,
and our company philosophy were introduced.

The round shape of this pouch corresponds to the round shape of the dial, with the watch being inserted into the pouch in such a way that the dial faces outwards. This cover is then closed to protect the watch with the vertical flap, then with the left and right
(or right and left).

Today, we remain just as thankful as we were back then for this leather pouch that holds a place in ochs und junior history!
